My career path hasn’t been a straight line, and that’s one of my greatest strengths. I’ve been a teacher, a small business owner, a department builder, and an operational leader. I’ve owned a photography business, helped support and grow my husband’s real estate business, and spent years building foundational departments inside a decades-old nonprofit organization.
Those experiences may seem unrelated on paper, but they gave me a perspective that is difficult to gain from working in just one discipline: I’ve seen organizations from the inside as they build, grow, adapt, and occasionally outgrow the way they work. I’ve learned to look beyond the immediate problem to understand what is creating it...and to recognize when a solution is addressing a symptom rather than strengthening the organization itself.
The common thread isn’t the work I’ve done; it’s how I think. I’m a systems thinker, problem-solver, lifelong learner, analyst, strategist, and catalyst. I naturally look for patterns, connections, assumptions, and the questions that haven’t been asked yet. That’s what allows me to move between people, processes, technology, and leadership without losing sight of how they affect one another. Through my FOUNDATION Framework™, I bring that perspective to help leaders uncover blind spots, make sense of complexity, and strengthen the foundations that support what comes next.
